The club returned to St-Hyacinthe in 2005, a year after holding its first Specialty in Quebec. This second visit was less of an experiment and more of a homecoming, and the entry showed it.
Second time around
When a club goes back to the same place, it learns things. The hall is familiar, the local volunteers know what to do, and the judges and stewards are not walking into a strange building. In 2005 that showed in the timing, in the ring, and in the mood of the weekend. The show felt settled.
What changed in the entry
Between 2004 and 2005, more Quebec breeders brought dogs out. Some of them had been watching from the sidelines the year before and decided to enter this time. The result was a broader entry, and a clearer picture of what the breed looked like in that part of the country.
Results
The 2005 results are not yet on this page. Best in Specialty Show, Best Puppy in Specialty Show and the class winners will be added as soon as they are checked against the catalogue. As of 2026, the 2005 Specialty is still on the list of years the club wants to finish. A second Quebec show is worth recording properly, because it shows the breed putting down roots outside Ontario.
