A white Coton de Tulear sitting on a wooden deckIf you love Cotons, you already know how much there is to talk about. The coat, the character, the way they follow you from room to room. The club newsletter is where all of that gets written down.

The Coton Malgache

The Coton Malgache is the official newsletter of the Canadian Coton de Tulear Club. It has been going since the early years of the club, and it comes out four times a year. Inside you will find breed news, health notes, show results, litter announcements and stories from members across the country.

Why it is worth reading

Breeders use it to share what they have learned. Owners use it to keep up with what is happening in the breed. Newcomers use it to find out who is who and where the next club event is. It is a paper clubhouse, the place where the Coton community in Canada keeps in touch.

How to follow the news

If you want to keep up with breed news, show results and club events, the newsletter is the easiest way. If you would like to receive it, or you would like to send in a story, a photo or a brag about your Coton, please write to us, call us, or come and visit us at a club event. Members are always happy to hear from other Coton people.

Share your story

Some of the best pieces in the newsletter come from ordinary owners, not from breeders or judges. A first litter, a rescue that found a home, a Coton that learned a silly trick, a show weekend that went sideways. If you have something like that, send it in. The newsletter is only as good as the stories members share.

As of 2026, the club is also working on bringing older issues into one place, so that the history of the breed in Canada does not get lost. If you have an old copy sitting in a drawer, it might be worth more than you think.
