A full grown Coton de Tulear stands about 9 to 12 inches at the shoulder and weighs between 8 and 13 pounds. Females usually sit at the lower end of both ranges, while males tend to be a little taller and heavier.

Like many small companion breeds, Cotons enjoy long lives. With good care, a healthy diet, regular vet checks and plenty of time with their people, many Cotons live to around 16 years. That is a long friendship, so it is worth choosing your breeder and your daily routine with that in mind.

If you have questions about size, weight or what to expect as your Coton grows, please write to us, call us, or come and visit us at a club event. We are glad to help.
