Membership in the Canadian Coton de Tulear Club is open to anyone who loves the breed and agrees to follow the club's Code of Ethics and by-laws. Whether you are a new owner, a breeder, or just someone who wants to support the breed, there is a place for you here.
New members
New applications are made through the club's online membership form. If you would like the link, or you would prefer a paper form, please write to us, call us, or come and visit us at a club event, and we will send you what you need.
Every new membership starts as a provisional membership for one year. During that first year, provisional members are not listed in the Breeders' Directory, cannot post litter announcements, and do not have voting rights. If no concerns are raised during the year, the membership becomes full status on the anniversary of acceptance.
Renewals
Memberships run on a calendar year. Renewals are due by January 31 each year. After that date, the renewal fee rises to $50.00. If you are not sure when your membership is due, or you have changed your contact details, please get in touch and we will check for you.
Why join
Members receive the club newsletter, The Coton Malgache, four times a year. They can take part in club events, including the National Specialty. They can list litters and adults in the club's directories, once they reach full status. And they join a community of people who care about this breed and want to see it thrive in Canada.
